Organize footage with smart cut

Smart cut is the footage-organizing skill in the “旅游视频工作室” (Tourism Video Studio) plugin. It splits long videos by exhibit, space, attraction, or content theme into playable, searchable clips while leaving the source videos unchanged.

Footage suited to smart cut

• Museum or attraction tours: split by exhibit, attraction, or narration topic.
• Hotel walkthroughs: split rooms, restaurants, pools, and other spaces.
• Tour or event footage: split by destination, itinerary stop, or content theme.
• Long continuous recordings: organize reusable clips before montage production.

Before you start

• Choose a workspace first: Select the correct workspace folder in T-Agent Work before starting. Add source videos to the task or place them in the current workspace. Generated clips, previews, and the complete report are saved in that workspace for review and later production.
• The first run initializes dependencies: Smart cut relies on supporting video software. On first use, T-Agent checks and initializes these dependencies, so the task takes longer than later runs. Keep the task running until initialization finishes.
• Large files take longer: Video count, total duration, and resolution affect processing time. Do not move, rename, or delete source files while the task is running.

Start a smart-cut task

1. Install the Tourism Video Studio plugin, open a project task, and select a workspace.
2. Add the source videos to the task or current workspace.
3. State the business object or content theme that should define each clip. Finished-video duration and aspect ratio are not part of smart cut and do not need to be set here.

T-Agent uses continuous visuals, scene changes, and speech to identify clip boundaries. Speech contributes topic and caption evidence, but it is not the only signal. Valuable footage of an attraction, facility, or exhibit can remain even without narration.

When processing finishes, the current workspace contains a playable smart-cut report. Each clip includes source timecodes, a title, tags, boundary rationale, and captions. Selecting a caption jumps to the corresponding moment.

Review and continue

• Check for missing footage and confirm that each clip starts and ends at the right moment.
• Review titles, tags, and captions, and make sure one exhibit, space, or attraction was not split incorrectly.
• Lightweight report videos are for quick review. Production uses the saved timecodes to return to the original high-resolution footage.

After confirming the clips, continue to video montage to turn selected material into a finished video.
